On 13 January 2026, overnight, Al Shabaab clashed with government security forces (SNA) and Bantu-Jareer-Weyne Makane sub-clan in the Doonsubagle area, Buundaweyn neighborhood of Belet Weyne town (Belet Weyne, Hiiraan). The clash was initiated with RPGs and an explosion. An unknown number of Al Shabaab and soldiers were killed and wounded. Unspecified number of fatalities coded as 3. Al Shabaab claimed responsibility.
