On 12 January 2026, between Taga and Nam Hpar villages (coded as Nanyun) (Nanyun township, Naga Self-Administered Zone, Sagaing region), about 60 members of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland - Ang Mai (NSCN-Ang Mai) (Mobile-6 Unit) attacked the 18 Maing camp of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland - Khaplang (NSCN-K) at around 6:30 am. The two sides then exchanged fire for about two hours, forcing the NSCN-K to retreat. The NSCN-Ang Mai subsequently captured the camp and seized some weapons and ammunition. Some members of the NSCN-K were killed. There were an unspecified number of fatalities. The unspecified number of fatalities coded as 3.
