Around 12 January 2026 (as reported), in Ngape township (Minbu district, Magway region), the Arakan Army (ULA/AA) attacked and blockaded two Myanmar military council columns that were moving in as reinforcements towards the Nat Yae Kan air defense base. Both columns have become trapped, unable to advance further or retreat. Casualties unknown.
