On 12 January 2026, in the west of Ga Yu village (Myinmu township, Sagaing district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the Sagaing District Drone Force and the Pugnacious Drone Team conducted drone strikes against about 50 Myanmar military troops traveling from Let Pan village to Ga Yu village. In response, the military conducted drone strikes using suicide drones and launched airstrikes using gyrocopters, forcing the combined force to retreat. Casualties unknown.
