On 12 January 2026, near Tet Tu Kone village (Bilin township, Thaton district, Mon state), the Karen National Liberation Army (KNU/KNLA) attacked the Myanmar military soldiers in their former outpost that the military soldiers took control of on 10 January for the second day. Both sides fired heavy weapons during the armed clash. The KNU/KNLA retook control of the outpost. The military soldiers retreated to an outpost of No. 314 Artillery Battalion near Shwe Yaung Pya village tract. 3 military soldiers were killed and 2 members of KNU/KNLA were injured.
