On 12 January 2026, an Israeli drone [Quadcopter] dropped a bomb on a group of people near the 17th intersection, south of Khan Yunis, coded to Khan Yunis - Jourat Al-Loot (Khan Yunis, Gaza Strip), killing 3 people. The IDF stated that they targeted 4 militants who crossed the yellow line and posed a threat, eliminating 3 of them. This attack followed the assassination of a senior Hamas security official (coded separately ) by the Al Astal group in which the IDF attacked and killed militants pursuing the assassins. This event occurred in a divided area of the Yellow Line and the exact side is unclear.
