On 12 January 2026, Wazalendo (likely from CPC/FDP as they clashed against M23 in the same area three days later) clashed against M23 in Cyahemba (also spelled Chahemba) (Bwito, Rutshuru, Nord-Kivu), as well as Bumbasha and Karambi (coded separately). The clashes started in Bumbasha before spreading to the two other locations. Hundreds of residents fled to neighboring villages and Mweso town. Casualties unknown.
