On 11 January 2026, in Kamarwet town (Mudon township, Mawlamyine district, Mon state), the Romonnya Mon Army (RMA) conducted drone strikes and dropped 2 bombs on the base of the Myanmar military (LIB-209). The RMA released a statement saying that they carried out to express their opposition to the ongoing elections. A military officer was killed. 1 fatality.
