On 11 January 2026, near Ka Lawt village (Ye township, Mawlamyine district, Mon state), the Romonnya Mon Army (RMA) fired two 107mm rockets into the base of No. 316 Artillery Battalion of the Myanmar military. The RMA released a statement saying that they carried out to express their opposition to the ongoing elections. Casualties unknown.
