On 11 January 2026, in Ah Sin village (Ye township, Mawlamyine district, Mon state), the Ramonnya Mon Army (RMA) attacked an outpost of the Myanmar military at the entrance of the village at around 4:00 am on the election day. The fighting lasted about 15 minutes. The RMA released a statement saying that they carried out to express their opposition to the ongoing elections. 3 military soldiers were killed and another was injured. 3 fatalities.
