On 11 January 2026, at the entrance of Ye-U town (Ye-U township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the People's Defense Force - Shwebo District (Battalion-24) attacked the Myanmar military's War Wi checkpoint stationed by about 50 military troops using 40mm grenade launchers and small weapons. Casualties unknown.
