On 11 January 2026, in War Tan village (Salingyi township, Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), following an attack carried out by resistance forces against Myanmar military troops stationed at the Chinese-owned Myanmar Yang Tse Copper Company compound in the morning (coded separately), the military raided the village, located opposite the company, by firing artillery rounds at around 3 pm. A civilian (a 45-year-old man), who was a former employee of the company and had joined the CDM, was killed. 1 fatality.
