On 11 January 2026, in Salingyi township (Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), a combined force of unidentified resistance forces fired heavy weapons at Myanmar military troops stationed at the Chinese-owned Myanmar Yang Tse Copper Company compound in the morning. In response, the military fired back heavy weapons. Casualties unknown.
