On 11 January 2026, in Htantabin town (Htantabin township, Taungoo district, Bago-East region), the combined force of battalions and drone force under People's Defense Force - Bago Region, the Taungoo District People's Defense Force Battalion 3502, the Ayeyarwady Battalion 3, the People's Defense Force (PaKaPha) - Minhla, and the People's Defense Force (PaKaPha) - Phyu fired heavy weapons at the police station around 8 am. The shelling killed two military soldiers and injured a duty major and two female police officers. 2 fatalities.
