On 11 January 2026, in Budalin town (Budalin township, Monywa district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the People's Defense & Revolution Force, the Cho Maing Maing Yinmarbin-Kani Joint Forces, the Student Armed Force, and the Budalin Township Joint Force Column attacked Myanmar military troops stationed at the Myoma police station, the General Administration Department office, and the Khon Min Gyi monastery, which was being used as a polling station, using rockets and heavy weapons. Casualties unknown.
