On 11 January 2026, in Mocache (Los Rios), four Los Fatales gang members threw an explosive device at soldiers who were conducting a drug control operation in the Miraflores de Palenque neighborhood. Military forces arrested the four perpetrators and seized three stolen motorcycles and small amounts of weapons and munitions. There were no casualties.
