On 11 January 2026, Amhara state police and Kebele militia clashed with Fano in Abam Abo (location coded to the nearest known location, Amdework, Dehana, Wag Hamra, Amhara), leading to the killings and wounding of forces on both sides. The clash started when the state security forces, who were mobilized to the area from Amdework town, attempted to capture Fano members. Fano claimed to have captured the head of the Dehana Woreda police investigation division and the head of the Dehana Woreda Kebele militia office. Unspecified number of fatalities coded as 3.
