On 11 January 2026, a patrol of the Niger army struck against an IED planted by ISSP between Tchintabaraden and Jirket, coded to Amokaye (Tchintabaraden, Tahoua) a midpoint between the two locations. The explosion caused the destruction of the army vehicle and the injury of some soldiers. There were no fatalities. ISSP claimed the attack.
