On 11 January 2026, military forces from the Rapid Intervention ambushed and clashed with ISWAP/Boko Haram (JAS) militants (coded as Boko Haram (JAS) based on militant activity in Mayo-Sava) who had come to collect supplies in Waouli (Kolofata, Mayo-Save, Extreme-Nord). 2 militants were killed.
