On 10 January 2026, in Chaung-U township (Monywa district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military launched airstrikes on Taung Hpi Lar and Nyaung Pin Te villages using a paramotor at around 9:30 am. 2 civilian men, aged around 20, from Taung Hpi Lar village were killed by the airstrikes. 2 children, aged 6 and 11, from Nyaung Pin Te village were also killed. 4 fatalities.
