On 10 January 2026, in Maungdaw township (Maungdaw district, Rakhine state), a mine exploded and injured a 30-year-old man when he stepped on the mine planted by the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army RSO and the Rohingya Solidarity Organization near the No.50 milestone of the Myanmar-Bangladesh border while returning from cutting timber. He lost his left leg.
