On 10 January 2026, in Nwe Ta Mei village (Salin township, Minbu district, Magway region), the Myanmar military conducted four drone strikes with two drones on a displacement camp, where 150 internally displaced persons (IDPs) were sheltered. The drone strikes injured 18 civilians around 10:30 am. The military also conducted another drone strike with two kamikaze drones on another village west of Nwe Ta Mei.
