On 10 January 2026, in Chaung-U town (Chaung-U township, Monywa district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the Burma Liberation Democratic Front, the People's Defense Force - Monywa District (Battalion-4 Company-2), and the Water Dragon Group attacked Myanmar military troops stationed at the No.7 school using drones and 60mm heavy weapons. In response, the military returned fire using small and heavy weapons and launched airstrikes using paramotors and gyrocopters. 2 military troops were killed over two days. 2 fatalities split across two days (10 - 11 January), and coded as 1 for this event.
