On 10 January 2026, security forces (coded as military) and local armed residents (coded as Mullagori communal militia) killed a militant and wounded another (coded as TTP) and arrested two others during an operation in Murad Dhand near Khunarri Dam in Mullagori area (Khyber, KPK), after residents alerted forces about the group's presence. Gunship helicopters and artillery were deployed in the first such clash in the area. The area stations Chinese workers and engineers at the dam and irrigation canal project. 1 fatality and 2 arrested.
