On 10 January 2026, US forces operating under the Global Coalition conducted three airstrikes targeting former suspected ISIL positions in Aita and Shiha in the Tabni badia in rural Deir ez Zor, causing material damage without causing any casualties. The following day, Jordanian forces announced they had participated in Global Coalition strikes targeting ISIL positions in unspecified locations. There were no fatalities.
