On 10 January 2026, in Comales, Tamaulipas, there was an armed clash between armed individuals and the state police. Three people were arrested. Weapons were seized. There was also a (narco) roadblock at kilometer 76 of the highway, at the height of Colonia Guardados de Abajo. There were no casualties.
