On 10 January 2026, in Agua Clara (Mato Grosso do Sul), military police shot a drug trafficker in the leg, injuring him, during an operation on the MS-320 highway. The suspect resisted arrest and engaged in a physical fight with the officer, who shot him. Drugs were seized in his car. There were no fatalities.
