On 10 January 2026, around 50 suspected land guards clashed against police at Trasacco in Accra (Accra, Greater Accra) and pursued the land guard into a nearby bush. The clash came after police received a distress call as the land guards fired at workers. 6 suspects were arrested and several rifles and rounds of ammunition were seized. 4 motorcycles were also retrieved. Casualties unknown. Motive unknown.
