Many junta soldiers were killed and a jammer vehicle was destroyed after resistance forces carried out a series of coordinated attacks on a military column operating in Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region, according to local resistance sources who spoke to Yangon Khit Thit News Agency.

On January 28, resistance forces targeted the column’s base in Kanphyu Village with drone-dropped bombs, directly hitting a jammer vehicle and seriously injuring the soldier driving it. In retaliation, junta troops set fire to the Sasana monastery compound in Kanphyu Village.
