Heavy clashes are ongoing in Hpakant, Kachin State, where junta forces fired artillery shells into the town, hitting a high school and injuring two 10-year-old students — one boy and one girl — according to local sources who spoke to Yangon Khit Thit News Agency.

At around 10 a.m. on February 2, troops stationed at the junta base on Byuha Hill in Hpakant fired heavy artillery toward the Hpakant High School, located between Myoma Ward and Ngepyawtaw Ward.
