According to a spokesperson from the KNU Brigade 4 – KNDO Battalion 7 Drone Forces, resistance fighters attacked military positions and columns in Palaw Township, Tanintharyi Region, killing nine soldiers, including one officer, and wounding several others.

On January 25, resistance forces used drones to bomb a junta camp near Thingan Taw Village, where troops had been stationed. The same day, the resistance groups also ambushed a military column advancing from Tapo Village at a route intersection.
