The Karen National Union (KNU) Central Office reported that a 7-year-old child was killed and three children were injured when the Myanmar military carried out an airstrike on Kwee Lar Village in Kyaukkyi Township, Bago Region.

On the evening of January 25, a fighter jet from the Taungoo Air Base dropped six bombs on Kwee Lar Village. The attack killed Saw Eh Law La Moo, a 7-year-old child, and injured three others — Saw Eh Moo Khee Thaw (13), Saw Eh Leh Pwain Moo (11), and Saw Eh Nar Doh Moo (9). At least five houses were also damaged by the explosions.
