PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — The owners and several residents of Gray’s Landing, the apartment complex next to Portland’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility, say federal agents continue to deploy chemical munitions in a “reckless manner” more than six weeks after filing a lawsuit against the federal government.
The lawsuit originally filed in December, was amended late Friday to add three new plaintiffs and updated testimony. The landlords of Gray’s Landing and the involved residents are seeking to stop the use of chemical munitions by federal agents near the ICE facility and their apartments.
Plaintiffs also filed a motion for preliminary injunction to temporarily stop the use of these forces while the lawsuit proceeds.
