A shooting occurred in the Pettersberg area of Västerås on Saturday night. The police say there are currently no reports of injuries. One person was arrested shortly after the incident and is being held.
It was at 1 a.m. that the police were alerted to loud bangs, something Aftonbladet was first to report.
"We quickly found traces at the scene in the form of empty shells that indicate that there had been a shooting. We have no information about any injuries," police command officer Joar Källman told SVT.
A suspect was arrested shortly after the shooting and later taken into custody by prosecutors.
– An area has been cordoned off and a technical investigation will be carried out. We are on site to secure the tracks that exist, including with a dog, says Källman.
The police have opened a preliminary investigation into aggravated weapons offenses and aggravated unlawful threats.

– At the moment there is no information to suggest that, but we are of course looking broadly at this, says police spokesman Wayne Seretis.
