On January 28 (last night) at around 7:55 p.m., a military commission unit stationed near Mintinepin Village, Pale Township, Sagaing Region, was attacked while conducting a patrol, according to the Pale Township Unity Column. Two members of the military commission were killed in the attack, and one firearm was seized.
It was reported that one member of the revolutionary forces was also injured during the clash.
After the incident, the military commission troops stationed in Mintinepin Village fired 60 mm mortars and conducted bombardments. This morning, they reportedly used force to recover the bodies of their dead soldiers.
