In Magway Region’s Thayet District, Upper Minhla Township, a clash broke out between local revolutionary forces and a column of junta troops said to be coming to attack them. According to the United States Burma Army (USBA), four junta soldiers were killed in the engagement.

The encounter occurred today (January 26) around noon near Sitsanoke village, located in the southern part of Upper Minhla Township, where the revolutionary group had been conducting public organizing activities. About 20 junta troops reportedly advanced from a location roughly one kilometer north of the village to launch an attack, but the revolutionary forces ambushed them first.
