Two civilians — a grandmother and her grandchild — were killed, and two other people were injured when artillery shells fired by the junta’s Light Infantry Battalion 3, based in Beelin town, Mon State, exploded in Alu Gyi West Village, according to local sources.
The shelling took place around 1 p.m. on January 26. A local woman told Shwe Phee Myay News that two more villagers were also injured.
