The enemy continues to terrorize the residents of Kherson and other coastal settlements.

Currently, cases of remote mining have become more frequent. The enemy purposefully scatters anti-personnel mines, in particular, the "petal" type (PFM-1 and PFM-1S), on the streets of the city. Yesterday and today, cases of mining were recorded in residential areas of the Dniprovskyi district.

Explosive technicians of the Kherson region police worked at these places. Law enforcement officers found and neutralized dangerous finds by the method of controlled detonation.

We urge citizens to be extremely careful when moving. It is important to remember that such mines are inconspicuous, especially in the current weather conditions, when the streets are already covered with fallen leaves. Therefore, compliance with safety rules and caution will help to avoid the tragedy. Do not risk your own life and look closely under your feet.

It should also be taken into account that PFM-1S mines are equipped with a self-deterministor. So they can detonate at any moment even without contact with them.

In case of detection of "petals" it is necessary to stop, to see if there are any such objects, to move to a safe distance and call the police. In no case should you lift or transfer such items. In the event of an explosion, the victims receive severe injuries or amputation of the limbs.

Be careful, do not expose yourself to danger!
