The Central Regional Military Command headquarters, located inside the Mandalay Palace compound, came under rocket attack early this morning, with loud explosions heard across the city, according to local residents who spoke to Yangon Khit Thit News Agency.

Around 4:30 a.m. on January 27, several short-range rockets struck the military command complex inside the palace grounds, triggering powerful explosions that shook nearby areas. Following the attack, residents also reported the sound of gunfire, suggesting the military returned fire or carried out defensive responses.
