Resistance groups launched artillery attacks on the military’s polling stations, checkpoints, and bases in Taungtha and Kyaukse townships, Mandalay Region, resulting in casualties among junta soldiers, according to a local resistance source who spoke to Yangon Khit Thit News Agency.

Beginning around 6 a.m. on January 25, the resistance forces fired heavy artillery shells at junta polling stations and security posts near Yone Si Gyi Village in Taungtha town. Reports indicate that there were military casualties, though the exact number could not yet be confirmed.
