A 47-year-old man entered his neighbour’s yard armed with a hunting rifle and fired two shots, wounding the neighbour’s dog, after a dispute related to alleged livestock attacks. The suspect reportedly threatened to shoot anyone who disagreed with him, causing fear among a worker and the worker's girlfriend. The injured animal was taken for veterinary treatment and survived. The suspect left the scene before police arrival and was reportedly intoxicated. The case is under investigation for unlawful conduct and cruelty to animals.
