Missile event in Kyiv area, Ukraine on Fri 23rd January 2026
23rd January 2026
It's been a long time since we've seen publicly available photos of Kh-101 missile debris with visible production code.
This is a missile used in the attack on Kyiv last night.
Its production code ‘3152636174030’ reads as follows:
- the first three digits '315' are the Raduga manufacturer’s code;
- the next three ‘263’ indicate the izdeliye 504AP missile version (older 504A version had ‘648’ here);
- the last five digits ‘74030’ mean the 30th missile of the 74th production batch.
The most interesting are the middle numbers ‘61’, which mean that the missile was made in the first quarter of 2026, a completely new production. This confirms the long-known fact that Russia has no stockpile of these missiles and only uses current production.
