A representative from the OneMore Column told Yangon Khit Thit News that in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, resistance forces attacked a junta column that had been burning civilian homes near Shwe Kyun Thar village, killing an officer and a warrant officer.

The ambush occurred at around 8 a.m. on January 20, when revolutionary forces engaged junta troops setting fire to civilian houses west of Myingyan Township, near Shwe Kyun Thar village. The clash lasted for about an hour, leaving at least two junta soldiers — one captain and one senior sergeant — dead and several others wounded.
