On 9 January 2026, in Myet Ni Kwin village (Oktwin township, Taungoo district, Bago-East region), a combined force of the Black Leopard UG, the New Society Army, the Taungoo District People's Defense Force, the Taungoo District People's Defense Force Battalion 3502, and the Burma Rangers 2021 (BR21) attacked and took control of an outpost of the Myanmar military where about 100 military soldiers were present at around 6:15 am. Casualties unknown.
