On 9 January 2026, near Pansau town (Nanyun township, Naga Self-Administered Zone, Sagaing region), the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang (NSCN-K) attacked the National Socialist Council of Nagaland - Ang Mai in Kham Ma Tine village, located about 3 miles from Pansaung town around 4:30 am. The armed clash occurred as NSCN-Aung Mai advanced to the area of NSCN-K. The armed clash lasted for one hour and during the clash. 2 members of NSCN-Aung Mai were killed and 3 of NSCN-Aung Mai were injured. 2 fatalities.
