Around 9 January 2026 (as reported), in Guayaquil - Bolivar (Guayas), two unidentified assailants placed an explosive device in front of a business and detonated on Pio Montufar and Pedro Pablo Gomez streets. Hours later, another business was damaged by an explosive (coded separately). There were no fatalities.
