On 9 January 2026, in Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua, state police officers were shot at in Colonia Fovissste Primero de Mayo by armed individuals in a vehicle that was being searched for by the police (drive-by). Following the attack, an operation was launched in which municipal police officers also participated. There were no casualties.
