On 8 January 2026, military forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) targeting TTP militants in Tawda Pul area of Central Kurram district (Kurram, KPK). Five TTP affiliates were killed after being intercepted by military forces, and the vehicle they were travelling in was destroyed during the operation. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered. 5 fatalities.
