On 8 January 2026, in Taw Kywe Inn town (Kyauktaga township, Bago district, Bago-East region), a combined force of the Alawaka Urban Guerrilla Force, the White Peacock Column, the Red Dragon Guerrilla Force, the People's Defense Force - Bago District Battalion 3702, the Special Commando Battalion - Southern Region, the People's Defense Organization - Oktwin (PaKaPha) and the People's Defense Force - Phyu (PaKaPha) attacked 14 outposts of the Myanmar military for the first day. The Myanmar military in Pe Nwe Kone (LIB-307) and in Ka Nyut Kwin (LIB-439) fired heavy weapons during the armed clash. 50 military soldiers were killed. 50 fatalities split across two days (8 - 9 January) and coded as 25 for this event.
