Around 8 January 2026 (as reported), in a rural area of Eldorado do Carajas municipality (Para), a man was killed and his body was found with gunshot wounds along the BR-155 highway. The victim had been missing for three days prior to the discovery and had last been seen being forcibly taken by unidentified men in an urban area of the municipality. The victim had prior criminal records, including multiple cases related to drug trafficking and drug use. The perpetrators and the motive for the killing remain unclear. 1 fatality.
